self timer. it is focused! focus is on the heart thingy and vase, not me. 18 mm f3.6. blanket setup for the background. tones adjusted in post editing. im getting tired of normal matte framing, so i thought i'd go for the sad movie look

UPDATE 10/20/07: new watermarks added - rippers began cutting out the old one

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactThis is simply beautiful. It truly shows the concept of loving alone. The choice of using the glass vase with the red heart is a perfect way of showing how one loves alone. The lighting is well done and I love how you chose to focus on the vase more than the girl. The vase focuses on how love is away from the lover. The girl looks as if she is longing for something, like a lover looking for love, even though you can't see her facial expression. I also like how you used white colored hues in the background. It really makes the red on the ribbon and the heart pop. Overall, great job!
