Materials and Methods
Mandarin oranges. Nikon D80 + 50mm f1.8 + SB-600 for bounce lighting off the ceiling. RAW editing in post to increase vibrancy. Curves for color. See the tutorial linked above for more information.

I love how the intact orange has 2 leaves positioned like two big arms that have just done the ripping. (so brutal)

The stem not only makes the image unique, since we're all so used to oranges without them, but it also adds colour and brings us back to the idea that oranges, and people, are from nature. :thumbsup:
