The composition here is perfect, as is the tone. The whole thing is unique, but classic at the same time.

yeah all the shutters work on mine, but apparently there isn't even film for it anymore? Which is tre lame...what kind of film does yours take?

Mine takes some strange roll land film that was discontinued in 1992.
You can use some generic sheet film paper to take photos. The only problem is you have to cut the film to size in the darkroom, load it in the darkroom, and it can only take one photo, etc.

yeah I heard about that...apparently you can also rig the camera with wooden spools etc so that it can use normal film, but I don't want to risk trying lol

That land camera cost about $10 on Ebay. It's an old polaroid land camera. I took the picture with my Nikon.

oh wow, that's really cool. I recently have been trying to get into photography, but honestly, I can't really afford good equipment. Would you be able to suggest any brands or models that are..well, realistic? lol, it's just that you seem to know a lot more than most of my friends do, it kinda feels like I'm asking an expert keke~

If you're just getting into photography, Konika Minolta, Panasonic, Sony, Pentax, Olympus are some affordable brands but they are of course inferior to Nikon and Canon in sensor technology.

If you're looking to pursue photography professionally and have experience with cameras already, I'd suggest a DSLR. But if not, any standard point-and-shoot cameras with a built-in lens and have basic features like manual settings should work fine. My first camera was the Konica Minolta Dimage Z6 [link] . Similar cameras probably run around $300. If your budget is lower than that, try looking for models that have less zoom and less megapixels. You probably won't be able to get a good camera for below $150 though.

oh wow thanks a bunch! I think I'm gonna check out some of those brands. I never even thought of pentax, or heard of konika minolta. Hahha I spent like 4 hours today trying to take your idea of buying a camera off ebay. Ya...went badly lol. I ended up loosing the deal to a 8.0 mp olympus digi cam, by only 6 dollars! lol can you believe that? the guy bet $66 USD

:XD: Good luck, happy shopping :giggle:
Try reading reviews about the camera first and see if it meets your needs. You can also try going to stores to test out the camera even if you're not buying it right then and there. ;)

I inherited two of those kinds of polaroid cameras from my grandmother! They're really interesting. Haven't used them though, they need to be cleaned DESPERATELY! lol. I doubt they make film for it though. hmmm... need to go check now!

Sweet shot though!

Sweet photo. I love the look of the camera and the feel of the environment around it. And the gloves. They really add to the feel of the environment.
