Tutorials and Resources - Forced perspective with bokeh: [link]
Materials and Methods Nikon D80 + 50mm F1.8 + IR remote + manual focus. Custom bokeh technique described here: [link] . Christmas lights in the background + more back lighting. GIMP for post editing. Curves to darken the silhouette. Color balancing and more curves for color; originally the background was more yellow and the silhouette more brown/red.
Additional Comments Another quote concept I've been meaning to do for the longest time. When I was younger I wanted to be brilliant, but then I realized brilliance is probably best left as a property of the stars in the sky and not the people on the ground. Not sure if I like the colors but I wanted something blue-ish Not the original composition I was going for either...but my head's too big and funny shaped for the original composition I wanted

I am proud of myself cause I knew it all along that it's a silhouette probably because I've seen you on your other photos and it reminded me of the ones where the bookeh is supposed to be a spray or sth. nice picture!
did you take the picture of the star-bokeh and the silhouette separately or you take them with just one shot ??? I've been wanted to try this technique for so long
my god, lady. just when I think you can't top yourself, then you post this. I LOVE the turquoise background. it makes the whole composition so dreamy. the bokeh is exquisite. your neck is possibly the most swan-like neck I have ever seen. this is mellifluous & dulcet. it takes my breath away.
nice picture!
this picture is amazing ^^
