Do you still remember that night?

We went out to see that movie, Pretty Woman.
Even though you may think it was laughable or perhaps insignificant,
It meant something to me.

Tomorrow I must leave.
My heart still aches.
I don’t know when or where we will meet again.
Conflicting thoughts and desires like these have a tendency of breaking people’s hearts.
Just like these little bears, lacking smiles and expressions.
I ask myself,
How can I force my feelings to evaporate into smoke,
And disappear before my eyes?
Was our love conceived at first sight?
Or was it just a figment of the imaginations?

My love towards you is so tender and faithful,
Does that count as true love?

Nikon D80 + 50mm F1.8. A LOT of noise reduction due to high ISO. Selective color replacement of the background in Photoshop Elements 3 to change from the grey background to a more purple one. Color noise reduction to compensate. Orton effect was used. Vignetting in PhotoImpact 5. Color balancing. Tone editing. Some blurring to minimize pixelation from vignetting and tone editing. Sharpen.

We, as humans, if the Buddha is to be believed - all sentient beings as well - will and must develop balanced ways of living which is compassionate and nonviolent to ourselves and others. It is left to us as individuals to choose the way and means we choose to relate to one another. I believe that we discover the better aspects of demonstrating our state as beings with awareness and conscience when we express our wiser and compassionate nature.

Here is to hope that we learn better, each one of us, regardless our personal philosophies or beliefs.

Regarding the photo, it is beautiful and moving, as the translation you shared.
