Nikon D80 + 18-55mm Nikkor + IR remote. How to take self-portraits tutorial: [link] . GIMP for post editing. Still just playing around. I'll try to be more specific once I figure out what I'm doing exactly. Vignetting stock [link] on overlay. Semi-transparent colored layers for color balancing. ----- Probably better suited for a journal than the Artist's Comments:
I decided to update my ID with a picture of me in my dorm doing homework XD.
I recently started university and the story is essentially the same for every student that undergoes this change: it's really different from being in high school. Although the coursework is comparable (in my opinion anyway; my roommate disagrees >_> <_< ), living independently (or I guess with a roommate) is definitely going to take some getting used to. Not only must time be specifically allocated to classes (that are held at the strangest times) and homework, it must also be for eating, showering, sleeping, and other seemingly routine activities that somehow still end up getting lost in the long nights of socializing. And of course among one of those routine activities that has been lost is my activity on deviantArt.
I have definitely not been very active on deviantArt recently. I have answered probably 1 comment in the past week...and that comment was a question concerning my absence from dA
But it's only been a week...no less...wait...yeah less. Keeping track of dates is another thing that gets lost. But anyway, as soon as I find my footing and adapt, I will hopefully find time to spend on dA.
Until then, I will not be replying to everyone's comments as I have done in the past. Please refer to the new FAQs located on my main page under this profile picture and of course the Artist's Comments of every deviation as they will most likely answer a majority of your questions.
